Picture RoundsExcellent for giving the teams something to look at while you collect the money, or simply get ready. Excellent for breaking up the monotony of verbal questions. A bit more labour-intensive, although of course the Internet has meant that finding, copying and pasting, and printing has never been easier. Scissor, sellotape and trip to the local photocopy shop are much less of a feature in the quizsetter's life than once they were...Picture rounds can be themed or topic-based in the same way as ordinary rounds, or they can simply be a miscellany - "name these people", "identify this car/company/flower". Or "what is this"? By building up a stock of images, or at least ideas for images, you can prepare a large number of thses in advance - for example, question one might always be "name this car", question two might be "who was this actress", question three might be "in which city is this building" and so on, so that as you come across groups of images, you put one each in to a series of rounds, rather than just doing a round of 10 buildings or cars. That way the widest number of epople possible will be able to answer at least a few.
